Needed, But Not Wanted is an ongoing drawing series which discusses unseen labor through the use of ghosted outlines of blue painters tape with blue marker on paper, often used by art preparators.

Through the process of creating outlines of the blue painters tape speaks upon the unseen immigrant labor against United States policies. In many occasions in working class labor and art preparator jobs, blue tape is commonly to support a task, but then immediately disposed. To me, this mimics the act of removal by force and disposal of immigrant communities through deportation and detention.
